Common questions

The answers, without the detour.

The questions we actually get on the phone, with the answers we actually give. The times are measured on the real road route, not estimated.

Getting to and from the airports
I have landed at Malpensa late at night and need to get to Ticino. What can I do?
Call us on +41 79 712 47 65. We answer at any hour, night included, and late airport runs are our ordinary work. Malpensa to Chiasso is 56 kilometres, about 49 minutes of driving; Lugano is roughly half an hour further. If you already know your flight number, tell us: we watch the arrival time and set off accordingly.
My flight is delayed. Do I need to let you know?
If you gave us the flight number, no: we check it ourselves before setting off. That is exactly why we ask for it in the form. If anything shifts we notice before we are on the road, and nobody is left waiting.
Where do we meet on arrival?
The meeting point is agreed when we confirm the booking, because it differs from terminal to terminal. We send it to you before you travel.
Which airports do you cover?
Malpensa, Lugano-Agno, Zurich Kloten, Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio. For other airports write to us anyway: we travel beyond our usual range, agreed in advance.
Do you cross the border between Switzerland and Italy?
Yes, every day: we are based in Chiasso, on the border itself. Malpensa, Linate, Bergamo, Milan and Lake Como are all on the Italian side, and it is the route we drive most often.
How long it takes
How long does it take from Chiasso to Malpensa airport?
About 49 minutes of driving, 56 kilometres, without traffic. It is motorway almost the whole way. In rush hour towards Milan it takes longer, and we allow for that when we set the pick-up time.
How long does it take from Chiasso to Zurich airport?
3 hours and 3 minutes, 243 kilometres. This is the route where the car genuinely pays off: three hours in one vehicle, with no changes and no connections to chase with luggage.
How long does it take from Chiasso to Lugano, Como or Milan?
Lugano-Agno airport is 30 minutes away, 29 kilometres. Cernobbio on Lake Como is a quarter of an hour, Bellagio 51 minutes. Milan city centre is 54 minutes, Rho Fiera 43.
How long does it take from Chiasso to St. Moritz?
About 2 hours and 47 minutes, 150 kilometres, over the Maloja Pass. In winter we take the BMW X5: all-wheel drive and more ground clearance.
Where are these times measured from?
On the real road route, departing from Chiasso, without traffic, measured on 21 August 2026. They are not eyeball estimates. From Lugano, Como or Mendrisio they change: in the form you enter the exact address and the map works out the route.
Price and payment
How much does a journey cost?
We do not publish price lists, and it is not evasiveness: the quote is given once we have read the request, because it depends on the route, the hour and the vehicle. It is fixed, per vehicle and not per person, and agreed before departure. Tell us the journey and we come back with the price.
Is there a meter?
No. The price is agreed beforehand and does not change during the journey, not even if we hit traffic.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No deposit. You pay at the end of the journey.
How can I pay?
Cash, card or TWINT. For companies we issue an invoice in Swiss francs with your order reference.
Do you accept euros as well as francs?
Yes. We are on the border and half our clients come from Italy: cash in euros or francs both work, and card settles it anyway.
How many people, how much luggage
How many of us fit?
From one to nine people in a single vehicle. The saloons — Mercedes E-Class and BMW 7 Series — carry three passengers; the BMW X5 four; the Mercedes V 250 and V 300 vans seven and eight; the Mercedes Sprinter nine.
And if there are more than nine of us?
Several vehicles travel together. The Sprinter and the V 300 together carry up to 17 guests per trip; for larger groups we schedule several runs at fixed times.
How much luggage fits?
From two in the E-Class to nine in the Sprinter, counting large cases. Tell us beforehand and we pick the right vehicle: the luggage count matters as much as the head count.
Do you take skis, prams or equipment?
Yes. The Sprinter has a proper luggage hold, and the X5 is the winter choice. Mention it in your request: it is the kind of detail that decides which car we send.
Child seats, pets on board?
Ask us when you write, telling us the children’s ages or the size of the animal: we will tell you straight away what we can do for that date. We would rather answer case by case than promise in general.
Booking and changing
How do I book?
Three ways: the form on the site, which asks for everything needed to quote you exactly; WhatsApp, if you are in a hurry; or the phone, +41 79 712 47 65, answered at any hour.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, especially for the vans and for night departures. But for departures within a few hours it is better to call than to write: it is settled in two minutes.
I need to change the time or address of a booking. How?
Changes are made by phone or on WhatsApp, not through a form. This is not a technical limitation, it is the right rule: a time change written into a field nobody opens is worse than no change at all, because the driver still turns up at the old time. Send us your name, the day and time of the journey, and what needs to change.
Do I have to register to ask for a quote?
No. Those with an account find their requests in the client area, but it is not required: you can send a request without registering.
